3-Hour or Full-Day Cruises on the Chesapeake Bay or Florida Keys
| Go back to the glorious days of
yachting in America, where yachts of classic design and style cruised the
waterways and stopped at unique towns and villages. Yacht owners and guests
dined on exquisite delicacies, sipped their favorite beverages and enjoyed
each others company while watching the vast panoramic American landscape.
You can have your own yachting experience with a cruise aboard the classic
Trumpy yacht "Windrush", which sails out of Back Creek in the Eastport
section of Annapolis from May through October and the World-famous Lorelei
in the Florida Keys from December through March. American Classic Yachting offers a variety of cruises for unique entertaining, family outings and special occasions. Charter guests can enjoy light hors d'oeuvres while cruising on the Bay and Rivers near scenic and historic Annapolis or exploring the beautiful Florida Keys. American Classic's Day Cruise will let you see more of the great Chesapeake Bay or the Keys, and it might be the perfect gift for that top-performing professional in your organization. Whichever cruise you choose, it will be the experience of a lifetime, and you will not soon forget your own "Trumpy Yachting Experience". |
| Hors d'oeuvres and plentiful refreshments are a
key ingredient of our 3-hour afternoon or sunset cruise.
Up to six guests may enjoy the views from the aft deck, lounge on the bow
and assist, as desired, in operating this classic motor yacht. Our full-day cruise on the Chesapeake Bay starts at approximately 9:30AM with coffee, juice & snacks along with Boat orientation (safety procedures and essential equipment operations). We depart the slip in Back Creek around 10:00, and head out into Annapolis Harbor. After a tour of the Harbor, we head out into the Bay toward our first sights and destination. Guests can relax, lounge on the aft deck or bow and participate, if desired, in the operations of the Boat, including navigating and steering. Lunch can be at anchor in one of many beautiful anchorages or docked at one of several good lunch destinations (If guests choose to stop at a restaurant for lunch, lunch is "on their own"). Our typical routes will take us by several lighthouses on the Bay and often close to the Bay Bridge. We often see commercial ships, naval ships and some interesting sailboat racing on the Bay, and we arrive back in Annapolis around 5:30 PM. The Cruise rate includes refreshments and snacks, lunch (if on the boat), and guest parking. Up to six guests can be accommodated, and it is recommended for only older children. Non-swimmers and children 13 or under must wear life jackets on the forward deck while the yacht is underway. Our full-day cruise in the Florida Keys will tour parts of the Florida Bay, including the Everglades National Park, the Intracoastal Waterway and Hawk's Channel in the Atlantic. Lunch is usually at anchor in the lee of a scenic island ("Key"), and the afternoon can include the exploration of islands that are part of the maritime history of the Keys. |
